Beloved Tj. and A.

We received your present, [presentje is likely an english word translated into Dutch, SIdney is thinking english] it was well wrapped. It already is on the wall and it is so nice. We thank you for it and a very pleased with it. We send you a picture with this letter and tell Grandfather and Grandmother that they will get a letter next [naaste is another example of  an english word translated to Dutch] week, also with a picture enclosed. We had a nice rain [clearly this is an english phrase translated by Piet into Dutch, an now back again] yesterday , and we needed that for we have had no rain for the last 5 weeks, so the farmers were glad for everything was wilted and burned by the hot sun. Today is nice but a bit cold. We moved in our new house and that is such a joy, inside it is done but I still have to do the ouside painting. [forven is a Bildts past tense word, we hewwe aant forven weest] When it is finished I will take some pictures to send to you, we have a washing [bath] room, a dining room and 2 bedrooms and then a room where we have meal when someone is over to visit and then there is the nice [sitting] room with the big chairs in it where you can sleep in, yes beloved I don't know if you understand. [clearly this is an english phrase translated by Piet into Dutch, an now back again]

Just ask Grandfather how beautiful it was at Trina and her [de main is a Frisism] husband's place, they will know, how it was over there it now with us.

Well Beloved ones I have to make an end to it for I don't know what to write next, later more I am not a skilled writer anyhow so don't look for mistaces.

Greeting to everybody from Sid & Helena.
